Staci Boris named new Art Chicago director

Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. just named Staci Boris the new director of Art Chicago, effective July 5. Boris, whom TOC named one of "20 people to watch" in 2007, previously served as senior curator at the Spertus Museum and an associate curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

She succeeds Tony Karman, who served as director from 2006–10. Karman plans to launch his own art fair, exposition CHICAGO, at Navy Pier in 2012.
