Have fun, will travel
Don't miss these out-of-town CIF acts that go beyond the standard scene.

Code Duello: Hamilton and Burr Two Boston boys play Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, complete with powdered wigs and a deep-seated hatred for one another. As in any ol’ improv show, they solicit an audience suggestion and immediately begin a long-form set. The catch, though, is they remain in colonial character throughout, and the show doesn’t end till we witness a duel. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience for the non–time travelers out there. Their show’s a benefit for Frank Janisch, a local comic and chef who’s recovering—financially and physically—from several strokes. Friday 6, Annoyance Theatre. Midnight, $10.
Drum Machine Jill Bernard performs solo, unless you count a Zoom RhymeTrak 123 as a scene partner. The Minneapolis native, who’s traveled all over the country with Drum Machine, accompanies monologues and songs with the phat beats of the namesake device. The show’s stylin’, even if Bernard’s mismatched wardrobe suggests otherwise. Friday 6, Playground Theater. 10:30pm, $15.
Election Show Yeah, yeah, we’re sick of all the political coverage, too, but let this weekly Seattle show shake things up. Two actors play presidential hopefuls and debate with the talking points you provide. The remaining group members create attack ads on the fly, and as we all know, the ads are by far the funniest part of any campaign. Saturday 7, Donny’s Skybox. 8pm, $15.
