My Bloody Valentine 3-D

By Maitland McDonagh
OFFICER UNFRIENDLY Kerr Smith gives Megan Boone the eye.

Small town Harmony hasn’t celebrated Valentine’s Day since six miners died in a cave-in caused by the owner’s inexperienced son, Tom (Ackles). The sole survivor went on a pickax rampage, and Tom fled home rather than face the gossip. A decade later, he reappears to sell the mine and reconnect with ex-girlfriend Sarah (King), but once again, someone is painting the town red. This briskly paced remake of the 1981 slasher goes easy on the 3-D effects while delivering lots of seriously nasty gore. Note to fans: The dryer bit remains. This two-disc package includes deleted scenes, a gag reel and (most crucially) four pairs of 3-D glasses. You do have the option of watching in boring old two dimensions, but that’s missing out on half the fun.
