The Window

WINDOW TO THE SOUL Larreta looks into the past.
There’s something to be said for working on a small scale. With a single day in the life of a dying writer (Larreta) as his subject, Sorin can focus loving attention on details, like the tin soldiers stuck in the strings of an old piano, the creaky sound of a window being opened and the sensual joy of pissing on dry earth. On this day, the writer is waiting for his son (Rovira), a renowned concert pianist, to arrive. One might say that not much happens in this film, but it might be more correct to say that everything that happens matters deeply.
