BLAST!

FLY ME TO THE MOON Well, technically the balloon only has to reach the upper stratosphere.
The title (minus the exclamation point) is an acronym for Balloon-borne Large Aperture Submillimeter Telescope, and that’s what a team of astronomers (including the director’s brother) are trying to launch to learn about the early days of the universe. The project takes them from the northernmost reaches of Sweden to Antarctica (extreme latitudes being the best for the kind of data gathering they’re doing). You don’t have to know much about the big bang theory (Devlin throws in some helpful astronomy-for-dummies explanations) to enjoy this look at a group of obsessive, brilliant people pursuing their passion. It’s like an extreme-sports doc for science nerds.
