The Book of Eli
In this mostly rote postapocalyptic tale, a mean motherfuckin’ servant of God (Washington) shepherds a mysterious book to some unknown locale out West. (The tome’s identity is fairly obvious, despite the hushed tones used to speak about it.) Thank the pallid heavens for Flashdance’s Jennifer Beals, ravishing as a sightless woman who acts as the story’s oracle. Extras are the standard, unilluminating making-of featurettes.
