Justice League: The New Frontier

DC: The New Frontier, a graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke that reimagined the formation of the Justice League during the 1950s, was a revelation when it was released in 2004, though a book that combines the Silver Age of comics with the hero worship of postwar boomer iconography seems inevitable in retrospect.
