A new leaf
Since the recession massacred local papers, Chicago editorial cartoonists are a dying breed. But here are two
to watch.

Political satirist Scott Nychay’s nationally syndicated editorial cartoons for the Northwest Herald racked up numerous awards. Nychay now freelances and hawks his political message in the form of SPITZER SWALLOWS mouse pads and TAXES OR CHENEY? T-shirts. See nychay.com.

Oak Lawn resident Stacy Curtis pens editorial cartoons for the Times of Northwest Indiana and the Chicago Tribune, among others. Curtis specializes in deriding our former President and poking fun at dysfunctional families (like yours—no offense). —Danny Fenster
