Your perfect weekend

Friday, Feb 5

If you’re a fan of SummerDance, you’ll want to slip into your parka and boogie on down to its cold-weather counterpart, Ice Dancing (McCormick Tribune Ice Rink, 55 N Michigan Ave; explorechicago.org; 7–11pm; free). Instead of swinging your partner on Grant Park’s dance floor, you’ll be guiding them over Millennium Park’s ice-skating rink. The event kicks off with ice dancing demonstrations at 7, 8:30 and 10pm. So strap on saddle shoes…er, blades, and ice dance to tonight’s theme, sock hop.
Whether you sided with Team Leno or Team Coco, you’re likely in talk-show withdrawal after weeks of prime-time inundation suddenly ended. Get your fix at local humorist Mark Bazer’s Interview Show (The Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave; 773-227-4433; 6:30–8pm; $5). Bazer conducts live Q&As with local characters, from musicians and authors to community activists and CEOs. Tonight, he’ll chat up Bloodshot Records founders Rob Miller and Nan Warshaw; sketch-comedy duo Dominizuelan; and pseudo-celeb chef Paul Kahan.
