Nice Tix: Turning the Lampo on

Posted in Audio File blog by Antonia Simigis on Jan 31, 2008 at 4:52pm

After a preview show last December, the good folks at Lampo are back with another lineup of striking experimental music shows. This Saturday features Alessandro Bosetti, and I am particularly psyched for the February 23 show with the amazing German harp and digital media artist Clare Cooper (pictured), who will be joining forces with our Chicago's own jazz luminary Fred Lonberg-Holm in what should be an interesting debut performance. Tickets for all Lampo shows are $12 at the door, which is a deal considering the caliber of the performers, so don't miss out; more info here.

A few more shows that have caught my eye:

Saul Williams April 18, Martyrs'
I am pretty curious to see how his Trent Reznor-produced album The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust! plays out live. (On sale 10am Saturday)

Rush June 9, United Center
You know how advice columnists are always telling single women to go to sports bars and do dude-oriented stuff to find eligible dates? I say go to a Rush concert, ladies. You will have the only va-jay-jay there. (On sale 10am Saturday)

And a quick note that the March 26 Boredoms show I talked about last week has been moved from Logan Square Auditorium to Congress Theater. (On sale now)
