Vandermark on film

Local jazz luminary Ken Vandermark already has his MacArthur genius grant, and now he's getting his own movie. He's the subject of Chicago filmmaker Daniel Kraus's newest documentary, MUSICIAN. The Gene Siskel Film Center will host a preview screening at 8:15pm on August 24, preceded by a Vandermark solo set; Vandermark and Kraus will then host a Q&A afterwards. This'll be the only chance for you to see the film until its official 2008 release, so be sure to catch it.
