George Clinton at the MCA | Photos
George Clinton, better known as the founder of funk, entertained guests last Saturday at the MCA's annual winter benefit, artEdge 2012. The night featured plastic chandeliers and couches, Wolfgang Puck Catering (prepared by the chef himself) and groovy tunes from George Clinton and his band. The soiree ended with an assortment of cakes, pie pops and lots of dancing. The steep price of $1,000 per guest to attend this funky fusion of art and flavor helped raise over $1 million for MCA programming (though for the less-wealthy, concert-only tickets were $150 and included an open bar and dessert spread).
