Free screening tonight: New Garage Rock Explosion!! In Love With These Times

Here's a last minute heads-up. There's a private screening of Vice/Scion's rock and roll documentary New Garage Rock Explosion!! In Love With These Times at the Century Centre Cinema tonight with a Q+A with Mick Collins (The Dirtbombs) and Jack Oblivian (The Oblivians). It's happening, 7pm-9pm at Century Centre Cinema 2828 N Clark St. R.S.V.P. online and get there on time.

Though I tend to find it debatable that we are in a golden age of garage rock—I tend to think there have been several pretty great eras of garage and some bands that are considered "garage" these days are merely sloppy, loud and drunk, which is basically like the application for garage greatness, not the diploma—I'm curious to see New Garage Rock Explosion!! and hear out the filmmakers and the bands.
