Cleary's for takeoff Outpost's owner, Kevin O'Donnell, is back in business. Along with Irish expat John Cleary and his wife, Trish, he reopened Outpost this week as Cleary's on Clark. Another Irish tavern in Wrigleyville? "Well, we're Irish, but we don't scream and shout 'Irish' all over the place," John Cleary says. Except for Irish breakfast and fish-and-chips, it's far from Emerald Isle fare. Consulting chef Chris Liteano (Grace, Green Dolphin) creates a sandwich from Virginia ham, roasted apple, Brie and pumpernickel; serves curry chicken wings with cucumber raita; and dots barbecue pizza with house-smoked Gunthorp Farm chicken and Irish farmhouse cheddar. 3438 N Clark Stbetween Newport and Cornelia Aves (773-244-1166).—Heather Shouse
