Making it a double

Talk about being loyal to your customers: The people behind the new Bucktown outpost of Cleo’s aren’t trying to achieve anything different from the original Ukrainian Village location—in fact, they’ve taken great pains to maintain the same look and feel. The reason behind the new spot? They wanted to be closer to their regulars. “A lot of people that used to live in Ukrainian Village and Wicker Park are moving to Humboldt Park and Logan Square,” says manager John Gerbin, and this more northern location may help the bar “hold on to our clientele.” Nice, huh? But it seems a little unnecessary: Anybody who is used to Cleo’s lineup of beers on draft (which includes Sapporo, Fat Tire and Point Cascade Pale Ale) and menu of bar food (including the free Saturday-night buffet) probably would have made the trip anyway. 2048 W Armitage Ave between Damen and Hoyne Aves (773-227-6700).—DT
