FANTASTIC PLASTIC As if we needed another reason to like Stonyfield Farm organic yogurt, it turns out that it’s partnered with the company Recycline to create Preserve plateware and flatware, a line of 100 percent recycled plasticware. Half of the material that makes up the brightly colored plates, bowls, cups and utensils comes from recycled Stonyfield yogurt containers, which are sorted at recycling facilities, thoroughly cleaned by a company called EnviroPlastics, and added to preconsumer plastic scraps from the Stonyfield production plant. The picnic-perfect stuff is dishwasher-safe and sturdy enough to hold a half slab of ribs without dumping a drop of sauce on your lap. That’s more than we can say for those flimsy Styrofoam planet-killers we used last summer. Available for $3.99–$5.99 at Whole Foods (locations throughout the city).—Heather Shouse
