Eve

All about Eve If at first you succeed, you multiply like rabbits. Or at least that’s the motto of Matt Fisher and Troy Graves, owner and chef, respectively, of Lincoln Square’s Tallulah. Apparently the reception the restaurant has received in its first year of business has been so warm and fuzzy, the duo have decided to expand, taking their contemporary American act into the toniest of tony: the Gold Coast. “Eve is Tallulah’s bigger, more sophisticated sister,” Graves says. “The room is done by the same designer but it has a little more pop, so to speak, a little more bling.” And if you think the room sports a fair share of bling, the menu could give Lil Wayne a run for his money: ice wine-steamed mussels, lobster sausage with chanterelles, truffles and escargot with arctic char and, of course, foie gras, pan-seared at dinner and in a burger at lunch. Not surprisingly, the damage has jumped up a notch accordingly, and a few pricey bottles have been added to the wine list. But don’t sweat it—just put it on Lil Wayne’s tab. 840 N Wabash Ave at Chestnut St (312-266-3383).
