Dale Levitski, Top Chef season three runner-up

While his restaurant Town & Country lies in wait, Levitski looks to keep up his culinary chops with this weekly three-course dinner at Relax Lounge. This week’s $60 tasting menu includes butter-poached lobster with basil dumplings in curry jus, duck fat–poached rack of lamb and foie-gras cannoli.

Thursday 16, then every Thursday indefinitely

Efrain Cuevas, formerly of Ghetto Gourmet, and sous chef Nikki Stanger

WHAT
One of the OGs of the local underground-dining scene, Cuevas has hosted roving dinners locally since 2007. His upcoming $65 five-course progressive soul-food meal aims to bring a unique dining option to Austin, utilizing ingredients from the West Side neighborhood’s farmers’ market.

Abraham Conlon, former Whole Foods culinary director

WHAT
Conlon and his crew specialize in offbeat events, including an upcoming gourmet tailgating party pre–White Sox game. Conlon will serve jerk chicken tortas, grilled octopus tacos and more out of his new food truck while Craig Perman of Perman Wines pairs beers and wines for the spread.

Andrew Curtis Forlines, transplant from Colorado’s Broadmoor Hotel

WHAT
Forlines says he “brings together molecular gastronomy and the localvore–slow food mentality” and promises an interactive evening including video interviews with local farmers whose ingredients will be used and technique demos in the dining room during the five-course meal.

Wandering Goat*
Stephanie Izard, Top Chef season four winner

WHAT
In preparation for the winter opening of her restaurant Drunken Goat, Izard is launching this traveling monthly dinner series. The debut dinner will be a backyard barbecue that includes slow-smoked pork shoulder, Three Floyds beer and Black Dog gelato. Location TBA.
