The last thing Jimmy Bannos and Scott Harris need is another restaurant—between Bannos’s Heaven on Seven franchise and Harris’s Mia Francesca chain, they’ve got almost 20. But these are insatiable guys, so when they had a vision for a new place serving wine, antipasti, wine, panini, wine and maybe some Spanish plates, they couldn’t resist. Combining their passions with those of Bannos’s son, Jimmy Jr., as well as some other industry giants, the team came up with a Mediterranean small plates menu the likes of which the Mag Mile has never seen: stuff like sardines with lemon jam, house-cured baccalà and pork liver pâté, all for what they hope will be perceived as reasonable prices. Says Bannos Sr.: “We’re not gonna gouge them.” But stuff them silly? That they might do. 500 N Michigan Ave, 312-464-1744.
