City Provisions Deli At this locally minded, sustainable-foods deli, chef Cleetus Friedman is joining forces with Province’s Randy Zweiban for an Earth Day cocktail party, featuring local booze and ingredients sourced from three local farms. The chefs will offer their own takes on food from each farm source, and the proceeds will go toward Chefs Collaborative, a national network of chefs aimed at bettering the sustainable-foods movement through education. 1818 W Wilson Ave (773-293-2489). El: Brown to Damen. Bus: 50, 78, 145, 148. 5:30–7:30pm; $55.

Elate Located within the recently LEED-certified Hotel Felix, this ecofriendly modern American restaurant will serve an Earth Day “Treetini” ($5) all day. Made with eco-conscious Veev Açaí spirit, lime juice, simple syrup and J. Rogét Champagne, the Treetini cocktail is more than a drink—it’s also something of a seed: For each one sold, the Treetini Company will plant a tree. 111 W Huron St (312-202-9900). El: Red, Brown, Purple (rush hrs) to Chicago. Bus: 22, 36, 156. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Average main course: $10.

Prairie Fire Want to learn how to grow an urban garden? Come in for lunch or dinner and register for a chance to win a gift certificate for one hour of gardening consultation with Jeanne Pinsof Nolan (a.k.a. “The Organic Gardener”). Keeping with the day’s theme, this comfort-food restaurant is offering a “Wild Things” menu featuring spring lamb, ramps, dandelion greens, morel mushrooms, wild watercress and wild Alaskan halibut for dinner. 215 N Clinton St (312-382-8300). El: Green, Pink to Clinton. Bus: 38, 56, 125. Lunch, dinner. Average main course: $20.

Uncommon Ground This joint always focuses on seasonal, organic and local ingredients, and today’s no different: Chef Justin Martin prepares a four-course menu featuring produce from Michigan’s Seedling Farm and wines from Von Beaumont Distributing. On the menu: bluepoint oysters, housemade gnocchi with black trumpet mushrooms, grilled Dietzler Farms steak and housemade pound cake. 3800 N Clark St (773-929-3680). El: Red to Addison. Bus: 22, 80, 152. 6pm; $40.
