When Boystown’s minibar opened in 2005 as a Lilliputian lounge with classy cocktails, its diminutive size seemed ideally suited to late-night conversing and canoodling. In 2007, it purchased the space next door, and in 2010, it expanded yet again. Now, minibar is really anything but—and it has the Las Vegas nightclub vibe to prove it. Chef Stu Zirin tries to compensate for the lack of dining-room vibe with a menu of artful, upscale comfort food, but in Boystown, the food rarely comes first.
