Xoco will have more than chocolate bars and hot chocolate.
Xoco will have more than chocolate bars and hot chocolate.

I've spent a lot of time reading (and re-reading) the menu for Rick Bayless's XOCO, which opens on Tuesday. But as insanely delicious as the menu posted on rickbayless.com sounds, it didn't seem complete.

Turns out it isn't. Today, XOCO gave us the scoop on more menu items it will feature for the opening, and revealed the "Bean-To-Cup Menu" of drinking chocolate it will serve—made from raw cacao beans on the premises. We're foaming at the mouth with anticipation.

The menu will include:

A head cheese torta made with head cheese and tongue from Maple Creek Farms. The tongue is smoked and served with black bean spread and spicy pickled vegetables.

An open-faced breakfast torta with a soft-boiled egg, serrano chili, and tomato broth

A scrambled-egg-and-chorizo breakfast torta

Homemade dulce de leche

A rotating selection of housemade ice creams beginning with:

- Seedling Orchard plum
- Chocolate-Negra Modelo
- Klugs Farm blueberry-tequila

And, of course, there's the chocolate.

Here's the actual drinking chocolate/coffee menu.

All these delicacies will be on the menu at 7am on Tuesday morning when XOCO opens.

How long it will last, however, is a different matter.
