Now that she has a permanent space, Oloroso will no longer have to eat on the street.

I've long been a big fan of Jessie Oloroso and her company, Black Dog Gelato. And I'm hardly the only one—restaurants such as Uncommon Ground, Goose Island and Old Oak Tap have been outsourcing their frozen dessert needs to the pastry chef for years. Recently, Oloroso announced that she had finally achieved a longtime goal: A storefront, all her own, will open this summer (probably in mid-June).

People who live around that storefront (859 N Damen Ave) may wonder what all Oloroso will be changing about the place—after all, the previous tenant, Piccolo, served Black Dog Gelato already, as well as panini. Oloroso is cutting out the panini part of the business, making the spot only gelato. So what could she possibly be serving other than what is already there?

Tons, it turns out. Oloroso sent us a preview of what her menu will look like, and it goes far beyond cups and cones. Check the tentative menu out after the jump and check out what Oloroso can make gelato do. (Hint: Apparently gelato takes well to whiskey and bacon.)
