Pittsfield Cafe offers inside/outside dining. But here's the thing: Even the outside portion is indoors—it's in the lobby of the historic Pittsfield building, outside the restaurant's boundaries. Everything else about this place is straightforward: The tuna salad is tuna salad, the club sandwich is a club sandwich, the burgers are burgers. None of it is remarkable at all. But you don't come here for the food; you come here for everything that makes it so old-school: the counter, the brisk but friendly service and, of course, those beautiful lobby views.
