Chef Jonadab Silva and his wife, pastry chef Erin Silva Winston, bought and reconcepted Jacky’s on Prairie (where Silva had been working) as an American "bistro." How different is it now? Not very. The inviting room is much the same, and the menu is still full of safe "contemporary" fare such as langoustines with squid-ink rice, and rack of lamb with warm couscous. It's not life changing, but it does get exciting on two occasions: (1) At the end of the meal, when you get to try Winston's thoughtful desserts. (2) Sunday nights, when the restaurant offers incomparable fried chicken.
