Let’s go over this one more time, because it’s still a little confusing: The Hearty Boys used to own this restaurant, but no more—now they’re running their own place in a studiolike complex around the corner. Their longtime chef Joncarl Lachman has taken over this spot, and he puts out great, seasonal American food. The ever-changing menu might include a creamy mushroom soup with lavender and thyme; Amsterdam-style mushrooms in a beer broth; or spiced lamb pie alongside almond-garlic mashed potatoes.
