The stretch of Halsted Street that lays claim to this classy tavern is packed with upscale eateries. More gastropub than sports bar, this spot keeps the scene grounded. Grab one of the tables that surround the beautiful, dark-wood bar and start with a Patio martini and plate of scallops wrapped in salty bacon. Move on to the New York strip seasoned simply with salt, pepper and rosemary. It’s not Alinea, and it's not Boka. But then again, it’s not supposed to be.
