This Britishish spot is putting its pounds on the pub scene, with upscale drinks like a St. Germain Champagne cocktail getting balance from such U.K. bar classics as fish-and-chips and bangers-and-mash. The Newcastle-battered cod is crispy, fat and flaky, the fried egg BLT just heavy enough. Attention to detail fails with the music, though; Sirius XM plays like Starship’s “We Built This City” wreck the Brit-pub vibe (although the rowdy post-work crowd gets the noise level up to near rugby-fan decibels).
