By employing homeless and otherwise at-risk youth, this nonprofit café doubles as a social venture. But we’ve had their cookies, granola and sandwiches and think they perform a much-needed service of their own. Skip the sugar and grab a cheddar-herb scone for lunch—the friendly staffers are sweet enough on their own.
