Ara-on

What used to be the classy fine-dining respite Shikago is now Ara-on, and though the executive chef remains, things here just aren’t the same. Sushi—once as ethereal as the kind of sushi you’d get at, say, Mirai—now tastes like any other sushi you can get in the Loop: pedestrian at best, unbecoming at worst. Cooked items aren’t much more successful: A bento box serves a huge portion of mostly fried items, but they all could use a little more seasoning. In short, the new owners of this space have turned it into what this neighborhood expects: unexciting.
