An unconsciously chic gang of international exiles sips mojitos and flirts to classical beats and tropical grooves either at the tile shard–covered front bar or at tables for two. The best of the picadas (apps) are the simple, garlicky eggplant and mixto plate of the lauded empanadas and beef milanesa (fried steak chunks) with bright and tangy chimichurri sauce. If the amazingly good mojitos go to your head, soak up the booze with more substantial fare like the vacio, a grilled skirt steak with chimichurri, or dos tiras, tender short ribs. Both are a bargain at $13.
