Urban fans of Elmwood Park's legendary pizza spot were anxiously awaiting the opening of this smaller, take-out-only outpost in North Center. One bite of the flavorful housemade sausage—served with peppers as an appetizer or on top of crispy thin-crust pizza—and you'll see why. The frizelle salad (marinated eggplant with fontinella, celery, red onion and tomato over crispy bread) is tart and delicious and big enough to feed a family. But skip the special "Pizza Novas," thin crust pies with olive oil bases that are bland and boring—it's the red sauce options that satisfy pizza cravings.
