Education consultant

Her background “I was laid off, due to budget cuts, from my analyst position at Chicago Public Schools in June 2008. I worked in the business-services department of the Office of Specialized Services (OSS) and was on the planning and evaluation team. I also did research on various OSS issues such as special-education case management and use of paraprofessional aides for students with disabilities.”

What she’s looking for “Currently, I’m looking for jobs in consulting, research and program evaluation in education. Actually, I read on Time Out Chicago’s website that personal financial adviser is expected to be an in-demand career in the future, so I’ve decided to try and get into the finance sector myself. I’m learning all that I can, and then I’ll see what I can do to meet the great need for sound, affordable, honest financial advice and education. I registered to take the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) level 1 exam in June. I’m also in an Arts & Business Council program that trains and matches candidates to serve on the board of a Chicago-area arts organization. It’s not a paid job, but I hope it will result in a meaningful volunteer pursuit that I can really sink my teeth into.”
