Her background “I worked for Eventcom International by Marriott as an event manager for six years and was recently laid off. I worked on programs ranging anywhere from local training meetings to simultaneous national satellite broadcasts involving 100 meetings in one night. I also organized internal Marriott customer events—these were strictly social events which involved entertainment, decor, gifts, food and beverage. As a manager, I was in charge of my team which consisted of event specialists, operation specialists, accounting personnel, graphic designers and technical support staff.
What she’s looking for “I’m looking to continue my career and get back into the event/meeting-planning industry. I’m a huge sports fan so my dream would be to work for either the Cubs or the Bears organizations.”
