Dekkori

SHOE-IN I’m a girl who likes options, so the idea that I can purchase a piece of fabric to change the look of the kicks in my closet grabs my attention. One of a number of designers who helped jump start the shoe-accessories trend, New York–based Stephanie Kim started experimenting with the concept for Dekkori a year ago while working as a corporate lawyer. The prototypes not only helped her rein in her compulsive shoe shopping (her collection exceeds 200 pairs); they launched her second career. Debuting this fall with 14 styles, ranging from slouchy pull-on or strappy ankle boots to a metallic criss-cross over-the-arch, the designs mix and match best with basic pumps or sandals. I’ll take one of each. $44–$150 at Fix Boutique (1101 W Fulton St, 312-226-4565) and endless.com.
