Must-have items for early September
We’ve always been big fans of Paul Smith’s fragrances, so we’re excited to take a whiff of the British designer’s new cologne, Paul Smith Man 2. The name might not be too original, but the scent description (a mix of wood, fern and fruit notes) is right up our alley. $54–$72 at paulsmithusa.com.
The jury’s still out on whether next year’s Battleship movie (starring, uh, Rihanna) will be any good. We don’t have high hopes, so we’ll just be in the corner playing Battleship on the Run, a mini version of the classic board game. $10 at Flight 001 (1133 N State St, 312-944-1001, flight001.com).
Much as we love our brussels sprouts and broccoli, we can all benefit from the occasional reminder to eat our greens. We’d be just as keen on hanging this sweet tea towel on the wall for kitchen decor as we would be using it as a napkin at our next dinner party. $6 each at keepcalmgallery.com.
We’re a few years past playing with our food, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like to have fun at the table. Give your hard-boiled egg and toast appropriate homes with this made-in-England my egg & soldiers set available on the recently launched home-design site mydeco. $35 at us.mydeco.com.
