Bart Yasso hosts Puma store run | June 21
Wouldn’t you want to run with Runner’s World’s Chief Running Officer Bart Yasso? He’s finished the Badwater race through Death Valley, run marathons on all seven continents and can be found at a marathon’s race expo most weekends throughout the year. He has marathon-predicting speedwork named after him: Yasso 800s. And he trains thousands of runners around the country through the Runner’s World Challenge. Sounds like someone you’d want to spend a few minutes with, right? Well, tonight you can.
Bart Yasso will be hosting a fun run out of the Puma store, 108 N. State St., from 6pm to 8pm. You’ll get to run with this legendary runner—on the first day of summer, longest day of the year, no less—and enjoy refreshments, Puma giveaways, and Yasso’s book that you can have signed. It’s a night full of all things running from training advice to motivation to the best of Yasso’s stories—and he has a ton of them. If you’re participating in the Runner’s World Challenge, which is training runners for the Chicago Half Marathon on September 11, consider this a group run. But if not, you’re still welcome.
