MOTHER KNOWS BEST Krich doesn’t miss much.

With some help from the Chicago Short Film Brigade, The Hideout is hosting a Bike-In Movie Theater this Sunday on their patio. Which is to say, they’ve been eavesdropping on my dreams. The film starts at 8pm—they’re showing Guy Maddin’s dark, weird Brand Upon the Brain! Part of what’s cool about this event is that they’re broadcasting the film’s sound via FM radio. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own radio so they can tune in, but the Hideout will also provide some boomboxes on-site. Unlike with your earlier drive-in experiences, you won't have to sneak beer in: That's what the Hideout's there for. The event is free; 21 and over only.
