Battle of the ban wagons

Before the city passed its Chicago-style smoking ban-filled with loopholes and grace periods-many pro-ban activists were pictured in the news wearing T-shirts that read: BOSTON AND NEW YORK DID IT. So we decided to see how the Windy City compares to other major cities in the ban game.

Chicago

Starting January 2006, banned in all public indoor places. Restaurant-bars and taverns have until 2008 to install an air-filtration system to make the indoor air as pure as the outdoor air.
