Save the Sun-Times
Drop 75 cents for the paper just once a week-you might get hooked.

Before the Chicago Sun-Times bleeds out in the next year or so, the paper should try the radical surgery of going free. Smash the locks off those news boxes and place hawkers at every El stop (while keeping home subscriptions paid). If given the chance to read Roger Ebert’s witty film reviews and Lynn Sweet’s energetic White House reporting for the same price as the inane commentary and stale news McNuggets reheated by RedEye, which paper would you grab? Exactly. In the meantime, consider skipping the morning scone and dropping 75 cents on the S-T once or even twice a week. Chicago might inevitably become a one-paper town, but why not take some quietly heroic measures in the meantime?
Pick up the S-T at any corner.
