Big Sexy Burlesque at the Music Box Theater | Photos

Chicagoans looking to warm up this Valentine's weekend didn't need to look far. At the historic Music Box Theater, the Big Sexy Show heated up showgoers with a sizzling night of striptease. The 10th annual burlesque extravaganza featured the Chicago Starlets among the 25 performers gracing the stage. Beyond burlesque, acts included circus and comedy. Toronto vaudeville duo Parker and Seville yucked it up with "Vaudeville Shaped Words" and world-renowned beat-box artist Yuri Lane wowed the crowd with his beats (while keeping his clothes on).

The scantily-clad performers were of all shapes, sizes and ages, proving confidence is the sexiest item in one's wardrobe. Mixing it up, Hot Toddy, King of Burlesque 2009, brought some "burley-esque" to the stage as well. Show producer and performer Michelle L'amour is best known for shocking audiences with her scandalous appearances on America's Got Talent in 2006, but was also voted one of the Top 5 Burlesque Winners three years running. L'amour infused the night with the same sensuality that made her famous.  

Tickets started at $20, with VIP champagne tickets going for $100. And for those too shy to witness the shenanigans without a little liquid courage, a cash bar with beer, wine and whiskey was available before each of the night's two showtimes.
