The Lyric Opera is on a bewitched kick for the next couple of weeks with Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night's Dream. Australian director Neil Armfield’s ethereal production stars countertenor David Daniels as Oberon and British bass Peter Rose in one of his signature roles as everyone’s favorite dopey weaver, Bottom. Dale Ferguson's gorgeous, aquamarine set and a fine turn by 30-year-old Scottish conductor Rory Macdonald make this one of the top Lyric debuts of the season.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream runs Nov 10—23 at the Civic Opera House.
