Habit to sell fixtures on Saturday August 14
For the last couple of weeks, we've been grieving over the news that Habit, the Wicker Park shop devoted to local designers, is closing for good. And just like when most local boutiques close up shop, owner Lindsey Bolan is gearing up for the next phase of Operation Shutdown: The fixtures sale. She is selling all fixures (including shelving units, art from its walls and hangers) on Saturday August 14, noon–5pm. If all the moving trucks in my neighborhood the last couple of weekends are any indication, there are a lot of Chicagoans with new apartments who might need some of these items. Just e-mail Lindsey (info@habitchicago.com) to set up an appointment or stop by the store (1951 W Division St) on Saturday.
Below are a few items for sale:
Footstool, $20
Three nesting tables with dark wood and steel, $60
Framed vintage Chinese advertising prints, $50 each
Antique porcelain glove molds, $30 each
