All Tomorrow's Art Parties, Mar 19–24
There are 139 Art & Design events happening this weekend, almost of which seem to be scheduled for tomorrow (Fri 19) night. We're not sure whether it's possible to visit "50 Aldermen/50 Artists," "The Invisible City" (featuring Damon Locks and Eve Fineman) and an Old Gold group show within three hours, but if you want to try, check this weekend's listings for the details.

Tomorrow night in the West Loop, ebersmoore hosts a reception for “Around.” Artist William Staples curates work by Dianna Frid, Deva Graff, Anne Simon, Brian Taylor and Scott Wolniak. (Fri 19, 6–9pm.)
In River North, Perimeter Gallery debuts painted steel and stone abstract sculptures by Nathan Slate Joseph. (Fri 19, 5–8pm.)
On Sat 20 in Pilsen, Ben Russell hosts “Blueness,” featuring work by Chicago artists Jerome Acks, Kimberly Baker, Kendrick “Rusty” Shackleford and Ken Fandell as well as Dutch filmmaker Gerard Holthuis. Baker performs at 8pm. (Sat 20, 6–9pm.)
At nearby Pentagon Gallery, Sara Condo and Kate Ruggeri explore the romanticization of personal experience through photos, paintings and sculptures in “Music from Big Pink.” (Sat 20, 7–11pm.)
In Wicker Park, moniquemeloche opens a group show that includes abstract photography by Barbara Kasten, Sheree Hovsepian, Karl Haendel and Walead Beshty. (Sat 20, 4–7pm.)
In the West Loop, Kavi Gupta Gallery hosts a reception for “Cordy Ryman: Tempest,” which features new abstract sculptures by the New York–based artist. (Sat 20, 4–7pm.)
In Andersonville, Chicago Filmmakers welcomes Austin-based Potter-Belmar Labs (a.k.a. Leslie Raymond and Jason Jay Stevens) for a live show mixing filmed images, recorded sound and audience participation.(Sat 20 at 8pm. $10, Chicago Filmmakers members $8.)
On Sun 21 at Salvage One in West Town, Mike Nourse and Marta Sasinowska unveil 15 photos of jobless Chicagoans—including the late artist and musician Chris Hales—in “Looking For: New Works.” (Sun 21, 4–7pm.)
