Fashion Showcase Fundraiser at Griffin Lounge: Photo gallery

Chicago may not have as legendary a fashion scene as say, New York or Paris, but that doesn't mean there aren't eager, aspiring designers creating all over the city. Last night's fashion fundraiser at the Griffin Lounge, for a film noir project starting at the end of the month, was a preview of the kind of ready-to-wear lines you can expect to see in stores soon. The show's designers included Jessica Lehenbauer, Wanda Grace, Stiletto Squad, Lesley Timpe with SquashT By Les, Yuka Takeda, Marilyn Meason, Heather Albert, Erin Gotwals, Zeyno Designs, Audey Designs. DJ Rock City kept the models on point with an endless mix of jams, and despite one small mishap on the runway—a model took a tumble—the inevitable backstage chaos didn't show up front.
