Smile council: Cast of Glee hits Chicagoland today

As part of a summer promotional tour, the student cast of the new Fox comedy Glee, which aired its pilot this past May but doesn't officially begin its first season until Wednesday, September 9, is coming to the Hot Topic (yep, that's not a typo) at Orland Square mall in Orland Park (about 28 miles southwest of Chicago). Glee, a fantastic guilty gay pleasure, stars Matthew Morrison (The Light in the Piazza, As the World Turns) as Will Schuester, an optimistic young teacher at McKinley High School who is determined to restore the school's glee club to its former glory. His chief nemesis is Jane Lynch (Best in Show, The 40 Year Old Virgin) as Sue Sylvester, an acerbic and brash cheerleading coach who wants nothing more than to see Will and his misfit glee club fail. An autograph signing happens today at 3:30pm and is followed by a cast Q&A at 5:30pm. Confirmed cast members include Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling. Oh and I'll be there too. Like I would miss this? As if.
