Marimekko coming to your IKEA chair soon

I love Marimekko so much that I have a Unikko wallet and socks. So I was thrilled to learn via Interior Design that the Finnish company has teamed up with Bemz to make slipcovers for more than 70 IKEA sofas and chairs. The 11 upholstery options include the famous Unikko poppies, which Maija Isola designed in 1964, as well as more recent patterns by Kristina Isola (Maija’s daughter), Anna Danielsson and Iiro A. Ahokas. You can preview (online) how the fabrics will look on lots of different IKEA pieces. Bemz will also send you up to five swatches free. Marimekko slipcovers are available now at Bemz.com.
