Freebie of the Week: Shoreline Commuter Water Taxi Rides

Sailboat-owning Gold Coasters aren’t the only ones who can bask in the Chicago River’s cool breezes and take in the city’s awe-inspiring riverfront architecture this spring. Thanks to this week’s Freebie, common folk will have a boat ready and waiting for them during rush hours via Shoreline's Commuter Water Taxi service. Now through May 15, commuters can enjoy the sites as they hitch a gratis traffic-free ride from Shoreline's Sears Tower/Union Station dock to the Michigan Avenue Bridge. Just look for the red, white and blue water taxis at either dock; then, steady your sea legs and enjoy the scenery. Monday through Friday, 7–9:30am and 4–6:30pm.
