These noogies won't rub you the wrong way
Last year I wrote about Night of 1,000 Noogies, a brilliant fund-raiser that featured estranged shock-jock duo Steve and Garry in a rare public tussle. It was all for the sake of comedy and charity—raising money for Gilda’s Club, a cancer-support org named in memory of Saturday Night Live comedian and cancer-victim Gilda Radner.
Tomorrow night, Gilda’s Club is at it again, throwing another soireethat's sure to make you laugh until your comp Miller Light shoots out of your nose. This year, the cast of Second City will perform a number of improved skits ridiculing featuring local celebs. This year’s suckers celebrities include former SNL alum Nora Dunn; Chicago Tonight’s Phil Ponce and several of his relatives; music critics Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot and gossip columnist Bill Zwecker.
I love, love Sound Opinions, so can’t wait to see what Second City cooks up on Kot and DeRogatis. Second City, if you’re reading this, I have inside knowledge that DeRogatis is a card-carrying member of the Military Miniature Society of Illinois. Have a field day.
I’ll be in attendance, laughing my butt off. Hopefully, I’ll see you there. Order tickets here.
