Not your father’s bingo

Every Sunday between 4 and 8pm, you’ll find Chickenshit Bingo at Ginny’s Little Longhorn Saloon, an ace little one-room honky-tonk bar. A board divided into a hundred numbered squares is placed over the pool table, and players buy a number for a buck. A mesh cage is set on top of the pool table, a chicken is put inside, and whichever square the chicken shits on is the winner! Throw in live music (from the dudey likes of C&W twangster Dale Watson or Merle Haggard guitarist Redd Volkaert), cheap beer and free chili dogs and it’s a great night of good ol’ Austin fun.
